PMHNP New

Psyche is looking for a bright and motivated PMHNP to join our growing team located in the trendy and thriving Capitol Hill district of Denver, CO! We are an outpatient-only practice with excellent work-life balance. The new team member will work closely and collaboratively with Dr. Richmond, our psychiatrist and founder, as well as a vibrant team of providers who are committed to continual learning and professional growth. This full-time position will consist of 50% routine outpatient psychiatry and telepsychiatry for adults with any diagnosis and 50% coverage of medication management duties at an affiliated general mental health (not addiction-focused) PHP / IOP, where Dr. Richmond serves as medical director. Employment is through Psyche, and providers are compensated competitively on a salary basis - no complicated arrangements, contract work, revenue splitting, etc. Medical and dental insurance premium covered at 100%. Retirement, FSA, and other benefits are available. Malpractice insurance is paid by the practice, and educational stipends for software, courses, and conferences are provided annually - for example, our entire team of prescribers have attended MAPS, NEI Congress, and Psych Congress together in 2023, 2024, and 2025 respectively - sponsored by the practice.

Providers have control over billing and coding, but guidance is available if desired. We pride ourselves on prioritizing excellence in care and the ethical practice of psychiatry above all. Providers are empowered to take the time that is needed with patients and are encouraged to practice with their own style, with no restrictive policies around prescribing. All of our prescribers also learn to use TMS and Spravato to manage treatment resistant depression and other conditions, but are never pressured to prescribe either.

Our new PMHNP colleague will have the opportunity to build their own patient base without having to take over a full caseload of established patients, easing the transition into the group and forging rewarding relationships with patients while accompanying them from the first steps of their recovery journey. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient mental healthcare services to adults in private practice, telehealth, and PHP / IOP settings.
• Our practice is primarily focused on assessment and management with medication, but candidates with a strong interest in providing psychotherapy are empowered to do so within their scope of practice and consistent with training and comfort.
• No experience with Spravato or TMS is necessary - education will be provided as needed, but all providers are expected to become well-versed in both modalities with support from our team.
• Consult with psychiatrist on cases that are beyond the scope of PMHNP or in any situation where collaboration, additional education, or discussion would be helpful.
• Providers are responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records: including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries into EMR system.
• Cutting edge AI to assist with documentation is provided - providers may choose to use it or not at their preference.
• Opportunity to precept PMHNP and PA students if desired. Encouraged, but not required.
